Dear Reader,
So somehow it's already February. Did anyone else blink and miss January? Having time disappear like that has got me thinking about what I want from 2022.
My biggest goal in the first part of this year is going to be finding the right house. I'm currently looking at areas around Oxford. Towns like Chipping Norton, Deddington, and Stow-on-the-Wold. I find the names alone ridiculously adorable.
And once I find that house (squee!), I'm going to spend the first quarter of this year writing The Bloody Prince AKA The Princes of Manhattan #4. Tristan, the internationally best-selling crime novelist, is going to try his hand at falling in love and it's going to be a bumpy ride.
I'm having a lot of fun getting to know Tristan. He's an entertainer, a fundamental optimist, and a let's turn those lemons into lemonade kind of guy. He goes after what he wants as relentlessly as the rest of his brothers but camouflages this dogged determination with flamboyant playfulness.
But after I'm done with Tristan's story, I'm thinking of trying something new. In The Wild Prince (TPoM #2) I introduce five guys who make up the band Star-Bourne. Mary, the heroine, managed the band for a couple of years before she met Dominic. And one of the interchanges with between her and Orion, the band's lead singer, really stuck with me.
