Dear Reader,
Â
Happy Valentine's Day weekend! The newsletter is a day later than usual this week because I wanted to make sure I could include a special Valentine's Day treat. Yes, The Quiet Prince's Special Engagement Epilogue is up and ready for your delectation. (Finally.)
Â
Click on the cover in the Special Engagement Epilogue News section to get the snippet you've been patiently waiting for. Don't worry, I won't be offended if you skim past this week's personal update to get to it. (In fact, I'll never know.)
Â
So now for those of you who are actually going to read the personal update... The house hunting is feeling pretty tough this week. It turns out that there isn't much turnover of quaint cottages in the English countryside during the middle of winter.
Â
Ah, timing. I don't have it.
Â
Until the right place turns up, I'm in a hurry-up-and-wait situation. Which isn't really my strength. I'm clinging onto my patience with my fingernails. And thanking my lucky stars my brother and sister-in-law are such awesome and understanding individuals.
Â
I'm spending far too much of my free time obsessive refreshing various real estate websites. And I pity the person that tries to stand between me and the next suitable cottage that becomes available. Â
Â
Oh! But in more exciting news, I'm headed down to the Cotswolds next week. That's the area of the country I want to move to. Because Valentine's Day is coming up--and I want to give said awesome brother and sister-in-law some privacy--I've rented an Airbnb for a few days. I figure it's can't hurt to talk to some of the locals and getting their advice on the lay of the land.

Watch this space for the upcoming gratuitous English countryside photos!
