Princes of Manhattan #4 is on a slow but steady grind. Katie and Tristan are definitely in the fun-and-games portion of their story. Here's a brief snippet to give you a taste of what their adventure is going to be like...
“Here’s your brownie.” She hurled a sodden paper bag at him.
It bounced off his chest, leaving a muddy imprint on his t-shirt, and landed on the wood floorboards in a sad puddle of filth and chocolate.
Tristan looked from the brownie to the woman and gave in to a suicidal impulse. “What? No iced coffee?”
Katie's muddy fingers curled into claws. “My uncle was right. You’re not a prince, you’re a frog.” She raised her hand and brought thumb and finger together to indicate a whisper fine distance. “And I’m this close to pinning you down and cutting you open.”
Tristan blinked, surprised and impressed. “That’s quite the metaphor.”
Her eyes narrowed and those clawed fingers flexed. “Who’s taking in metaphor? I could do it. I got an A in biology.”
