Dear Reader,
The Bloody Prince is 10,000 words over budget and I'm not done yet. And if you read my newsletter regularly, you're probably scratching your head and thinking, but wasn't she supposed to be finished last week?
Why, yes. Yes, I was. *insert hysterical laughter set to the soundtrack of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Mis*
Also as I write this, my friend, writing buddy and housemate, Ms Melinda is in the hospital having her gaul bladder removed, my newly extended deadline with my editor is approaching with
the speed of an oncoming train, and my flight to Australia for Christmas is in three weeks and I have approximately fifty million things to do between now and then.
I'm not saying I'm panicking. (But I'm totally panicking.)
So I'm
going to go dunk two tea bags of Countess Grey in 12 ounces of boiling water, add sugar and lavender syrup, and a splash of milk. Then I'm going to curl up in a chair and sip on it until the world stops seeming so overwhelming. And then I'm getting back to work.
I promise I'll send you a better newsletter next week! (Look for title Victory is Mine Book 4 is finally D-O-N-E!)
