Dear Reader,Â
Â
I'm deep in the back end of The Bloody Prince. And honestly I feel a little like a marathon runner who's hit that first really difficult mile of the race.Â
Â
(Or, at least, so I've been told. I've never run in an actual marathon. Running is for the kind of athletic people who own Fitbits, have daily gym routines, and know their resting heart
rates. Someone says, "Run" to me and I say, "Hold on. There's a reason is why mankind invented cars.")Â
Â
The Princes of
Manhattan is my first long series. There are seven planned books, probably stretching to eight given the outline I've half sketched out for Essie. I'm on book four now. Even with a decent series bible, that's a lot of moving parts I have to keep on track. Â
Â
But the upside of that is that I also am starting to know all my characters really well. Especially the Prince brothers. I love writing them. And every time I slip in little cameo scenes with the couples from the other books, it feels like an inside joke I'm sharing with my readers.Â
Â
Honestly, if I think about it for too long, it blows my mind that I have readers who are that invested in what I write. But I get enough replies from you guys, that I know you're out
there.
