Last Halloween, my first Halloween in suburban America, my housemates and I went all out. The house was decorated, we were all in costume, there was stage make-up and crystals-glued to faces and a freaking fog machine that we used to upstage every other house in
the neighborhood.
We were Halloween rockstars.
This year... we're going to be lucky if we remember to pick-up candy. Ah, the joys of being close to a deadline.
And how is that deadline going? *insert semi-hysterical laughter here* It's going fine. Just fine. Why? *narrows eyes suspiciously* What have you heard?
But all jokes about my iffy grip on sanity aside, I've turned the corner on what I'm pretty sure are the final 10,000 words of The Bloody
Prince. Right now I'm steaming toward the finish line like Godzilla heading for Tokyo.
That's in the Halloween spirit,
surely?

BOOK NEWS
I am in the final stretch. I repeat the first draft
of The Bloody Prince is almost complete. Provided there are no last minute unexpected plot twists, crazy new characters wandering on page, or dropped storylines I realize I've forgotten to pick up... Oh, hell, I just cursed myself, didn't I?
