Â
Dear Reader,Â
Â
Do you have any weird, why do I do this habits?
Â
I'm not talking about the regular over-eating, too much drinking, why, yes, I'd like a cigarette habits. I'm talking about the really strange stuff.Â
Â
Mine is watching readers rip apart books on YouTube. Which a little like a professional surfer watching shark attack videos over and over and over again. There's blood in the water, a sense of empathic horror, and wow, I'm so glad that's not me.Â
Â
Why do I find it so fascinating? I don't know. Why do people watch horror movies? What does it say about me that I enjoying watch videos of other author's books being dissected in a brutal and bloody fashion? Or that I sometimes want to send these reviewers my own books
just to see if it would happen to me?
Â
And why am I telling you about this at all? Is it to deepen the closeness between us
by sharing something I normally wouldn't admit too? Yes, but it's also because literally nothing else has happened this week and I had all this empty white space staring back at me from underneath my newsletter header.Â
Â
So this is what you got. Your welcome/I'm sorry? Feel free to email me back with a strange quirk of your own. After all, a weirdness shared is a weirdness halved. 😉 Â
