The chaos of my last week downunder!

Dear Reader,

It's the last week of my trip to Australia and I have totally overbooked myself. I am seeing loved ones for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day from now until I go. Fully expect I'm going to totter onto the plane and collapse into an over-socialized writer coma.

This is the place I learned how to swim when I was kid.

I have so many happy memories of summers my spent there.

My uncle taught me how to body surf in those waves (though I didn't find out he was my uncle until my mom did one of those family tree DNA tests a couple of years ago.

My gran took some interesting secrets to her grave.)

Mum and I have been watching Hijack starring Idris Elba on Apple TV for the last couple of weeks.

It's excellent nail biting television!

The final episode drops next Wednesday when I'm going to be on the plane.

Mum said she'll tell me all about it when I land.

I told her she's not as funny as she thinks she is!
