Dear Reader,
Something really cool happened a couple of weeks ago! I found out that one of my personal writing heroes, the awesome Lucy Score, had read The Ice Prince and liked it!!!! *Insert excited squeeing here!* (If you haven't read anything by NYT bestselling author Lucy Score, please step this way. Seriously, I'll wait.)
But because our universe is nothing if not an equalizer, this seriously cool moment has been followed by an obnoxious cascade of technical difficulties.
First, I managed to lock myself out my website email. Then I lost a whole newsletter to an internet glitch. Finally, I discovered my website form doesn't capture email addresses.
Arg. Flail. Swear.
I am not a tech person. Occasionally I think I am, then things like this happen and I'm smacked right back to reality. I've thrown it in my tech guru/savior's lap, but he's based in the US and I'm currently in Australia. Plus, he does have other clients.
So in the meantime - Christina, Coleen, Connie, Diane, Jenny, and Mary, thank you so much for writing to me. I'm sorry I haven't been able reply to you directly (stupid web form and stupid me for setting it up that way). I hope this reaches you! And if you reply to this email, I should be able to
email you back.
Now, in answer to some of your questions:
- Yes, all the rest of the brothers are getting their own books, and Essie is getting a book of her own too.
- In tentative publishing order the books are: Shane's story (The Perfect Prince), Essie's story (The Princess & The Dragon), Julian's story (The Golden Prince), and finally Lucas's story (The Brat Prince).
- I'm planning for Shane's story is going to come out in early 2024.
- I will be releasing a standalone novel that is loosely connected to The Prince of Manhattan called You Are My Favorite Bad Idea in September 2023.
And to everyone who reads this newsletter, thank you for your patience. It and you are much appreciated. I promise to try to get back to being a functional author-type person by next week!
