Dear Reader,

I'm in Altanta this week. It's Dragon Con so Ms Melinda and I hit the road early on Tuesday morning to do some shopping and get a jump on the festivities.

It also means we got out of the path of Hurricane Idalia the day before it hit. We had to leave Mr Melinda and the cats behind in Tallahassee and that's meant a fair bit of guilt on both our parts! But the three of them bugged out to safety late on Tuesday night and will going back to check on how the house faired later today.

I hope everyone else in Idalia's pathway managed to stay safe!!!

As we were packing the car to get out of dodge, I came to an unexpected revelation. Somehow, over the last couple of years of various conferences and themed parties, I have evolved a costume trunk. There are corsets, there are fake swords, there are wings made of real feathers.

The costume trunks in their full glory!

I can practically hear my sister laughing and calling me a giant nerd all the way from Italy.
For those looking for tips, I recommend Spirit Halloween for excellent inexpensive props like the battle axe resting on the top lid.

I have officially become one of those people.

(I blame it on growing up in Australia with no real Halloween and never having satisfied my costume bug.)

Lucy Freaking Score's third and final (so far! 🥲) installment of Knockemount lands on Tuesday and I'm not leaving my chair until I find out what happens between Lucian and Sloane. I've been dying to read their story since I caught a whiff of history between them in Things We Never Got Over!

I'm having tea, tacos, and taking a day to enjoy. Who else is having a Score day?
