Dear Reader,
I started Christmas shopping this week. It feels like it was the middle of the year two blinks ago and yet now there are jingle bells creeping slowly toward us... Seriously, if sit real quiet and listen for them right now, you'll hear them. It's the warning
cry of the end of year holiday ambush.
Okay, so maybe that's a little creative license. But they are coming!
I freely admit to being a bit on the intense side when it comes to getting my personal Santa sack stocked. It's a combination of a couple of factors:
One, I am not a fan of desperate, last minute, over-spend-on-something-not-quite-right shopping.
Been there, still remember the fear sweat.
Two, certain members of my family take present giving very, very, very seriously. As in I expect knowing looks filled with silent judgement if I fail to score sufficiently high on the Look How Well I Know You grading scale.
(To said above family members who read this newsletter, you know who you are... And aren't you excited to know I'm already Christmas shopping for you? 😂)
Three, I really enjoy finding the right gift for the right person. To show that I know them, that I think about them, and that I want to see them smile on Christmas morning. And I am getting more and more excited that I'm going to see them soon.
Any one else started getting their ho-ho-holiday shopping yet?
