The design brief I sent her began,
"The log line for this book is: Her life isn't a rom-com, it's rom-complicated!
I'd like this cover to feature a destroyed bouquet of roses.
Also, can you make the title font to look like it's a cheerful-but-somehow-despairing note written in lipstick?"
She pretty much nailed it!
I'm waiting with baited breath to get the manuscript back from the editor. Here's hoping she liked it! If all goes according to assorted plans, I should be shoving the finished book into your hot little hands by mid-April.
What do you think? Are you super excited to get your hands on the book that began it all? The book that was the first insight into the insane giggling mind that brought you the Prince brothers? The book that made my mother ask, "So how did my character come off this time?"
(Though I
maintain she is not a character in this book no matter how many friends and family members ask me the same question!)
