Despite all the craziness of prepping for my Sept trip to Europe and the move that will be hitting soon after that, I'm still making good progress on Project Candlelight!

This week has seen a swords & sorcery road trip rumbling through deadly forests and being ambushed by old friends. I'm also dipping into my lifelong love of drill sergeant insults. Which brings me to this week's snippet:

“Zar’s hairy balls!” a recruit struggled to his feet swearing and spitting mud. “What the fucking fuck is the point of this thing?”

“If you weren’t so fecking stupid you might have figured that out by now,” the mage-trainer bellowed back. “But you’re so fecking stupid you should apologize to every fecking tree in this fecking forest for stealing its fecking air. Now you get back up that fecking ladder and apply the brains the gods must have fecking gave you to work it out.” He raised his voice even louder. “The rest of you empty-headed air-suckers, start skipping. And make it fecking double time.”
