Â
Dear Reader,Â
Â
Where did all the white t-shirts go?Â
Â
For context, I've been on the prowl for a decent white v-neck t-shirt for a couple of months now. That's right, you heard me: A. Couple. Of. Months. It's mind-boggling that something as basic as a decent white t-shirt is this hard to find.Â
Â
I mean they're still here technically. You see them in most
store windows, but every time I try one on it's so thin it's practically unwearable.Â
Â
And, yes, I do understand white hides less than navy and black. You will see the occasional bra-line. But I can see my skin tone through these new t-shirts, and I'm so pale you can see the blue veins through my skin.
Â
It's also not just one store. No, no, no. Over the last few weeks I've been everywhere I can think to look: GAP, Madewell, Banana Republic, Uniqlo, and a bunch of other places.Â
Â
Translucent, translucent and translucent-er. Seriously, there's tissue paper with more weight
and depth.
Â
When did this happen? And why? Or am I going insane (not hugely surprising) and it's always been this way?
Â
Seriously, if anyone has any recommendations I'd really appreciate
it!
