Jim Carrey + Cameron Diaz + Superpowered Green Mask shenanigans = 💚
I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this movie. Jim Carrey is at his most elastic cartoony best (did you know the movie actually saved money on its special effects budget because of how elastic his face is?) Cameron Diaz is absolutely smokin' as Tina Carlyle (it was her first movie role and the director threatened to quit if she wasn't hired).
Filled with dance sequences and old movie references and cartoon hijinks, this movie really made me smile. And I liked how the nice guy got the girl in the end, specifically because he was a nice guy.
So if you haven't seen it or you have and it's been a while, I thoroughly recommend you give it a watch. Or at least check out that 25 things video.
And if you're wondering how The Mask related to my book research? It didn't.
